Intro

  • Higher Education Institutions receive significant funds mainly from the Government to conduct research and publish articles and file patents.
  • Most of the patents though have industrial utility, and innovation index yet fail to see the light of the market. Several steps have been taken to address this issue. But, little benefits have been noticed.
  • The purpose of this conclave is to deliberate some of these gaps and address them in a systematic way.
  • In this conference, the key highlights of would be the role of Incubators in plugging some of the gaps in converting IP assets into commercially viable or industrially applicable outcomes.
  • Intellectual property (simple, IP) refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions; literary and artistic works; designs; and symbols, names and images used in commerce.
  • Economically well-off countries are reaping commercial and technological benefits from such IPs which they had created many years ago.
  • Several steps have been taken to address this issue. But, little benefits have been noticed.

Travel & Accommdation

The participants have to make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation. The local logistic support to attend the event will be provided by AIC-SKU. Anantapur is a tier 3 town having good accommodation facilities including 3-star hotels, government guest houses. AIC-SKU team shall help the participants in blocking the hotel rooms.

Anantapur is about 210 KMs north of Bengaluru International Airport. It is conveniently reachable via road and rail. The nearest airport is Bengaluru and other alternatives are Kurnool, Kadapa, Hyderabad and Chennai.
